e-Extension: Southern Region
Overview
The focus of this ASRED activity is to explore, create awareness, and seek consensus on a vision, feasibility, organization and management, standards and protocol, and possible next steps for e-Extension. The e-Extension concept is based on WWW and other electronic educational services that provide access to land grant university expertise for an audience that is larger and more diverse than currently served. The ASRED, with participation of representatives from other Extension regions and from non-Extension groups, is committed to working cooperatively to build a 21st century information technology system useful throughout each state which makes available to individuals high quality information on a just-in-time basis.
